"Eden!" is based on the philosophy of Eden's founder, Dr. William H. Thomas. Thomas believes that elders do best when immersed in the real world human habitat. Hillcrest Manor has surrounded itself with a loving, caring staff, patient and understanding to the needs of our guests. Children are welcome and visit regularly, and pets and birds are part of the Eden philosophy living at the facility to the enjoyment of all. Five staff members comprise the Activity Team and coordinate group entertainment/activities, individual visits, and weekly outings to near-by attractions, restaurants, and entertainment. Memory Lane Park was opened in August of 2003 for the elders at Hillcrest Manor. A comfortable setting to enjoy the fountain, flowers, fresh air and sunshine in the beauty of the spacious park. The park sidewalks are double the width of a wheel chair. A wheel chair "Whisper Glide Swing" was added to the park in September, 2004.
